ATLANTA – Today, Chairman Butch Parrish (R-Swainsboro) and other legislators joined Governor Brian Kemp at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga. as he signed House Bill 1339 into law. HB 1339 was sponsored by Chairman Parrish and co-sponsored by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) and reforms Georgia’s certificate of need (CON) laws.

ATLANTA – Today, Speaker of the House Jon Burns (R-Newington) and other legislators joined Governor Brian Kemp in Augusta, Ga. as he signed several bills into law to cut taxes for Georgians. Gov. Kemp signed House bills 1015, 1021, 1023, and 581, several of which were House priorities during the 2024 legislative session.
ATLANTA – Today, Speaker of the House Jon Burns (R-Newington) and other leaders unveiled a portrait in memory of the late House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) that will be permanently displayed outside of the House Chamber in the Capitol.
