Rep. Roger Williams Helps Secure Funding for Local Library

ATLANTA – State Representative Roger Williams (R-Dalton) today received confirmation that the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library has been awarded a Repair and Renovation grant of $27,634 for repairs to the library’s roof and upgrading the doors to better meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. News of the grant came after Rep. House Passes Legislation to Help Schools Handle Bullying

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 250 by a vote of 119 to 45.  This legislation was amended by state Representative Mike Jacobs (R-Atlanta) to include measures that will expand and clarify the definition of “bullying” in Georgia public schools.  The amendment also allows corrective action to be taken in any grade level and requires the Department of Education to develop a model bullying policy for its member schools.
