ATLANTA – State Representative Brenda Lopez Romero (D-Norcross) and House Minority Leader Bob Trammell (D-Luthersville), along with State Representatives David Dreyer (D-Atlanta), Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) and Beth Moore (D-Peachtree Corners), today introduced House Bill 896 to allow high schools graduates in Georgia to receive in-state tuition rates, regardless of their immigration status. Georgia Legislators File Toxic Coal Ash Clean Up Bill

ATLANTA – Legislation was dropped in the hopper today and will be read for the first time tomorrow in the Georgia House of Representatives to update Georgia’s toxic coal ash disposal procedures. State Representatives Erick Allen (D-Smyrna), Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur), Debbie Buckner (D-Junction City), Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn), Mary Frances Williams (D-Marietta) and Minority Leader Bob Trammell (D-Luthersville) are co-sponsors of the legislation, House Bill 756. Rep. Trammell Announces Grant Funding for Special Art Projects in Coweta County

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) and House Minority Leader Robert Trammell (D-Luthersville) recently announced that the City of Grantville and the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta in Coweta County were awarded Vibrant Communities Grant funding for special art projects The City of Grantville and the Coweta Boys & Girls Club were awarded $5,000 each. ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) and House Minority Leader Robert Trammell (D-Luthersville) recently announced that the Meriwether Educational and Community Improvement Foundation, Inc. and the President Theatre were awarded Vibrant Communities Grant funding for special art projects The Meriwether Educational and Community Improvement Foundation, Inc., which was established through the Meriwether County Chamber of Commerce, was awarded approximately $4,500, and the President Theatre was awarded more than $4,800. House Democratic Leader Trammell Endorses Marsy’s Law

ATLANTA – Georgia House Democratic Leader Bob Trammell (D-Luthersville) today endorsed Marsy’s Law for Georgia and encouraged voters to vote ‘yes’ to put crime victims’ rights into the state constitution. Marsy’s Law for Georgia, or Senate Resolution 146, will give victims constitutional rights to be notified of judicial proceedings and bail or parole hearings, the right to be heard in court if they wish and the standing to seek a judicial remedy if their rights are not carried out.
