ATLANTA – State Representatives Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville), Shea Roberts (D-Atlanta), Scott Holcomb (D-Atlanta) and Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) today filed the “Restore Confidence in Elections Act,” legislation that would make hand marked ballots counted by existing ballot scanners the primary method of election voting in Georgia.

Rep. Sam Park Files LIMIT Act to Eliminate Leadership Committees

ATLANTA – State Representative Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville), House Minority Whip, recently introduced the Limiting the Increase of Money’s Influence Today Act (LIMIT Act), legislation to eliminate leadership committees, which provide legislative and executive leaders the ability to raise and spend unlimited political campaign contributions without limits on the amount of money individuals, special interests and businesses can donate to political candidates.

Rep. Sam Park Files Family Caregiver Tax Credit Act to Support Unsung Heroes

ATLANTA – State Representative Sam Park (D-Lawrenceville) today introduced the Family Caregiver Tax Credit Act, which aims to support the contributions of family caregivers in Georgia by increasing the cap on tax credits from up to $150 to up to $1,000 on caregiving expenses. Family caregivers, people who tend to the needs of family members with short or long-term limitations due to illness, injury or disability, play an indispensable role by providing care and support to loved ones who need it most.
