Legislation to Provide Insurance for First Responders with PTSD Favorably Passed out of House Committee

ATLANTA – State Representative J Collins (R-Villa Rica), chairman of the House Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, applauds the work of State Representative Devan Seabaugh (R-Marietta) and the members of the committee for recently passing House Bill 451 out of committee. This bill would require public entities to provide supplemental, illness-specific insurance to certain first responders diagnosed with occupational post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Rep. Gerald Greene Convenes Final Meeting of the House Rural Development Council at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert) recently convened the final meeting of the House Rural Development Council at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta. Rep. Greene was named co-chair of the House Rural Development Council, along with State Representative Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville), by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) earlier this year.
