ATLANTA – State Representative Yasmin Neal (D-Jonesboro) recently introduced legislation that would allow motorists to refuse to sign for traffic tickets. This proposed legislation, House Bill 1054, comes following the death of a motorist last fall after he declined to sign an Atlanta Police Department traffic ticket.

Rep. Yasmin Neal Launches Aid Efforts for Tara Woods Apartment Tenants

ATLANTA – State Representative Yasmin Neal (D-Jonesboro) today launched local aid efforts for the Tara Woods apartment tenants following the Clayton County Water Authority’s decision to discontinue water services at the complex starting today, July 10. Rep. Neal has already mobilized volunteers to assist with the temporary relocation of tenants and food donations.

Rep. Yasmin Neal Urges Clayton County Board of Commissioners to Abandon Local Ordinance to Fill Vacancies for Elected Positions

ATLANTA – State Representative Yasmin Neal (D-Jonesboro) yesterday submitted a letter urging the Clayton County Board of Commissioners to halt any consideration of Ordinance 2022-271, local legislation which would allow the Clayton County Board of Commissioners to fill vacancies of local elected officials, including the board.
