Anti-Bullying Legislation Supported by Representative Mike Glanton Signed into Law

ATLANTA – Today Senate Bill 250, an anti-bullying bill carried in the House by Representatives Mike Glanton (D-Jonesboro), Mike Jacobs (R-Atlanta), and Kevin Levitas (D-Atlanta), was signed into law by Governor Sonny Perdue.   This piece of legislation strengthens Georgia’s anti-bullying laws by giving schools a greater ability to address bullying problems. Governor Signs Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights into Law

ATLANTA – House Bill 567, an update to the Georgia Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights, was signed into law by Governor Sonny Perdue on Monday, May 24, 2010.  Sponsored by Representative Don Parsons (R-Marietta), HB 567 enhances and strengthens Georgia’s laws as they relate to crime victims. (more…)

Representative Lynn Smith (HD 70) Named One of 2010’s Most Influential Georgians

ATLANTA – The March/April 2010 edition of James Magazine named State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) one of the Most Influential Georgians of 2010.  Of everyone selected to receive this honor, Rep.
