Rep. Wendell Willard Introduces Legislation to Reform Georgia’s Forfeiture Laws

ATLANTA – State Representative Wendell Willard (R-Sandy Springs), the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, announced that today he pre-filed legislation to reform Georgia’s civil forfeiture laws. The measure will modify the power of law enforcement to seize cash, cars, home and other property on the suspicion the property was involved in criminal activity. (more…)

Rep. Edward Lindsey Re-Elected House Majority Whip

ATLANTA – The House Republican Caucus re-elected Georgia State Representative Edward Lindsey (R-Atlanta) by acclamation as the House Majority Whip during caucus elections on Monday, November 12th. In this position, Rep. Lindsey will be responsible for monitoring legislation as it moves through both chambers of the General Assembly and by helping the 119 members of the majority caucus to better understand the details of bills and resolutions.
