House Speaker David Ralston Announces Committee Assignments for Newly-Elected Rep. Rick Jasperse

ATLANTA- House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) announced today committee assignments for newly-elected Rep. Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper).  Rep. Jasperse was sworn into office after winning the May 11th special election to fill the remainder of the 2009-2010 term for the 12th district in the Georgia House of Representatives.

“Rep. Jasperse is a man of conservative values with the right experience to represent the 12th district and his committee assignments reflect that,” said Speaker David Ralston. “I know he will quickly become a valued member in the state House as we continue building on the many accomplishments from this legislative session.”

Speaker Ralston named Rep. Jasperse to the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs; Economic Development and Tourism; Game, Fish, and Parks; and the Special Rules Committees.

“I am thankful to the citizens of Bartow, Gordon and Pickens counties for sending me to the Georgia House of Representatives and honored Speaker Ralston has given me the opportunity to serve on committees that are so important to the district,” said Rep. Rick Jasperse. “I look forward to putting my life long passion for agriculture, economic development and my desire to make the right decisions for my constituents to work in our state Capitol.”
