Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians to Hold Public Meeting

ATLANTA- The Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians will hold a public meeting Thursday, August 26th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Interested parties are invited to attend this meeting anytime during the three hour session to voice their concerns pertaining to Georgia’s tax system.  The Tax Council will hold numerous public hearings throughout the state so that all Georgians have the opportunity to participate.

Parking is available in the parking lot directly in front of the Depot and the entrance is on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.  You may also park in the number one parking lot on Capitol Avenue, directly across from the Capitol.  These lots charge a $5.00 daily parking fee.  Please see directions to the Blue Room below.

DIRECTIONS

Northbound on I-75/85:

• Exit at Central Avenue/Fulton St.

• Take a right at first light

• Take a left at next light, onto Capitol Avenue

• Take a left onto MLK, Jr. Drive, pass the Capitol on your left

• Go through intersection with Washington St.,

the Georgia Freight Depot will be on your right,

underneath the large mural of whales

• The Blue Room is inside the front door, to the left

Southbound on I-75-85:

• Exit at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive/State Capitol

• Go straight through three lights, pass the Capitol on your left

• The Georgia Freight Depot will be on your right,
