ATLANTA – State Representatives Steve Davis (R-McDonough), Andy Welch (R-McDonough), and John Yates (R-Griffin) and State Senator Rick Jeffares (R-Locust Grove) released the following joint statement today regarding the final passage of House Bill 78, the Fiscal Year 2012 state budget:
“Today the House and Senate came together and passed a balanced state budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Not only does this budget meet the needs of Georgians across the state, but it also includes $5,465,000 for the first classroom building of the Southern Crescent Technical College satellite campus in McDonough, Georgia. Realizing the urgent need for this construction, members of the Henry County Delegation came together and worked with House and Senate leadership, as well as the Technical College System of Georgia, to secure funding for this vital project, which will prepare our citizens for quality jobs and encourage economic development in Henry County.”
