Rep. Larry O’Neal Re-Elected House Majority Leader

ATLANTA – The House Republican Caucus re-elected Georgia State Representative Larry O’Neal by acclamation as the House Majority Leader during caucus elections on Monday, November 12th. In this position, Rep. O’Neal will be responsible for leading the 119 member strong House Republican Caucus.

“It is a tremendous honor to be re-elected House Majority Leader by my House Republican colleagues,” said House Majority Leader Larry O’Neal. “I know that the challenges that lie ahead are great but I am confident that this House and my colleagues are ready to meet them head-on.”

This is Rep. O’Neal’s seventh term in the Georgia House of Representatives and his second as House Majority Leader.

Representative Larry O’Neal represents the citizens of District 146, which includes portions of Houston County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2000, and currently serves on the Ethics, Governmental Affairs, Judiciary, MARTOC, and Ways & Means committees, and is an ex-officio of the Appropriations Committee.
