Rep. Steve Tarvin Receives Committee Assignments for the 2014 Legislative Session

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Steve Tarvin (R-Chickamauga) to the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Small Business Development and Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight committees.

“I am honored to serve in the Georgia House of Representatives and humbled that the fine people of District 2 have placed their trust in me to represent their interests here at the State Capitol. I feel richly blessed by my Creator, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” said Rep. Tarvin. “I am very pleased with these committee assignments and look forward to working on these committees to continue to build a bright future for our state.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Steve Tarvin represents the citizens of District 2, which includes portions of Catoosa, Walker, and Whitfield counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2014 and currently serves on the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Small Business Development and Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight committees.
