Rep. Kevin Cooke Named Vice Chairman of Interstate Cooperation Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Kevin Cooke (R-Carrolton) as the Vice Chairman of the Interstate Cooperation Committee. Rep Cooke is also a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment, Public Safety and Homeland Security, Regulated Industries, and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.

“I am grateful for the confidence the Committee on Assignments and the leadership of the House have placed in me,” said Rep. Cooke. “I will continue to work hard for District 18, and I look forward to the added responsibilities.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Kevin Cooke represents the citizens of District 18, which includes portions of Carroll and Haralson counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2010 and is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Interstate Cooperation Committee. He also is a member of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development, Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment, Public Safety and Homeland Security, Regulated Industries, and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
