Rep. Tom Taylor Named Chairman of House MARTOC Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Tom Taylor (R-Dunwoody) as the Chairman of the House MARTOC Committee. Rep. Taylor currently serves as a member of the House Appropriations, Economic Development & Tourism, and Governmental Affairs committees, and as the Vice Chairman of the Regulated Industries committee.

“I would like to thank Speaker Ralston as well as the other members of the Committee on Assignments for this opportunity to further serve my constituents and this great state,” said Rep. Taylor.  “I look forward to building on the great work this committee has already begun.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Tom Taylor represents the citizens of District 79, which includes portions of DeKalb County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2010, and is currently serving as the Chairman of the MARTOC Committee and Vice Chairman on the Regulated Industries Committee. He also serves on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources and the Economic Development & Tourism Committee.
