ATLANTA — Speaker of the House David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) has appointed the following members to the Joint Georgia-Alabama Study Committee:
- Rep. Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert), Co-Chairman
- Rep. John Deffenbaugh (R-Lookout Mountain)
- Rep. Randy Nix (R-LaGrange)
- Rep. Calvin Smyre (D-Columbus)
- Rep. Darlene Taylor (R-Thomasville)
This study committee is established by House Resolution 395 and is composed of members of the Georgia House and Senate as well as legislators from the State of Alabama. The committee will discuss and review issues that are common to both states and seek solutions to common problems.
