Rep. Shaw Blackmon Hosts Gen. Lee K. Levy at Georgia State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Shaw Blackmon (R-Bonaire), along with Representatives Heath Clark (R-Warner Robins), Robert Dickey (R-Musella), Bubber Epps (R-Dry Branch) and Buddy Harden (R-Cordele), recently led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing Lieutenant General Lee K. Levy II, Commander of the United States Air ForceSustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, at the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.

“Gen. Levy is the Commanding Officer of Robins Air Force Base, who has selflessly served this country and our state, and it was truly an honor to welcome him to our state’s capitol,” said Rep. Blackmon.  “As the largest employer in middle Georgia, Robins Air Force Base has an annual economic impact of more than $2 billion, and as it’s Commanding Officer, Gen. Levy ensures the Center provides operational planning and execution for the Air Force supply chain management and depot maintenance for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, and component items in support of United States Air Force missions. I believe that it was only fitting for my colleagues and I to honor Gen. Levy for his significant contributions to the state of Georgia.” Gen. Lee K. Levy Invite Resolution

Lt. Gen. Levy took command of the Air Force Sustainment Center, which oversees operations at Robins Air Force Base, in June of 2015. Robins Air Force Base is one of three United States Air Logistics bases in the country, including Hill Air Force Base in Utah and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, which oversees the operations of all three.

Gen. Levy was recognized by the House of Representatives with House Resolution 1191.
