Rep. Karen Bennett Recognizes Amaryllis Alexander at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Karen Bennett (D-Stone Mountain) recently led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing and honoring Amaryllis Alexander, author, speaker and coach, for her efforts to raise awareness of bullying and breaking generational negative mind-sets. Alexander was recognized by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.

“I was honored to recognize Ms. Alexander for her compassion and commitment as a community service partner and for the great work that she is doing to help today’s youth and their families rise above the negativity of bullying,” said Rep. Bennett. “We need more professional advocates like Ms. Alexander, who are making a difference for our kids.”

Alexander is the author of two books, “Breaking Free, Overcoming Self-Sabotage, ‘De-Clutter Your Mind,’” and “The Many Faces of Bullying, ‘Eye See You.’”  She has been featured on television and cast as an extra for several movies and TV shows. Her passion lies in helping others and fostering positive and healthy communities, while also helping kids speak out about any form of bullying.
