Speaker David Ralston Appoints James D. Kreyenbuhl to Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission

ATLANTA — Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) has appointed James D. Kreyenbuhl to the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission (formerly known as the State Ethics Commission). Mr. Kreyenbuhl is an attorney and partner in the firm of Brennan, Harris & Rominger LLP in Savannah.

Mr. Kreyenbuhl began practicing law as an associate at Brennan, Harris & Rominger LLP in 1997 and became a partner in 2005. He practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense, workers’ compensation defense and education law. Mr. Kreyenbuhl has served as an attorney for the Effingham County Board of Education since 1997.

He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Savannah Bar Association, the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, and the Georgia and National Councils of School Board Attorneys. Mr. Kreyenbuhl is also a charter member and past-president of the Rotary Club of Effingham Sunrise.

He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.

Mr. Kreyenbuhl will assume the unexpired term of Hillary Stringfellow who resigned from the Commission earlier this year. That term will end on January 11, 2018.
