Rep. Bubber Epps Named Chairman of House Motor Vehicles Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Bubber Epps (R-Dry Branch) as the Chairman of the House Motor Vehicles Committee.  Rep. Epps will also serve as the Secretary of the Transportation Committee and as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources, and the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Insurance, Natural Resources & Environment and Small Business Development committees.

“I thank the Speaker and Committee on Assignments for entrusting this Chairmanship to me,” said Rep. Epps.  “I am dedicated to working with the members of the Motor Vehicle Committee to address the issues assigned to us in helping to move our great State forward.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Bubber Epps represents the citizens of District 144, which includes portions of Bibb, Bleckley, Houston, Jones, Laurens, Twiggs, and Wilkinson counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2008, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Motor Vehicles Committee and the Secretary of the Transportation Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources, and the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Insurance, Natural Resources & Environment and Small Business Development committees.
