Rep. Stephens Invited to Attend NCOIL

ATLANTA – State Representative Mickey Stephens (D-Savannah), member of the House Insurance Committee, was recently invited by the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) to attend the NCOIL Spring Meeting in New Orleans from March 3-5, 2017, and the NCOIL Summer Meeting in Chicago from July 13-15, 2017.

“I am honored to have received an invitation from NCOIL to attend these events,” said Rep. Stephens. “These conferences are designed to keep legislators nationwide informed and updated on current issues and legislation related to the insurance industry, and I hope my attendance will add great value to the House Insurance Committee.”

Both conferences will feature committee and general sessions regarding insurance legislation, as well as various networking opportunities.

NCOIL is a legislative organization consisting of legislators serving on state insurance and financial institution committees across the country. NCOIL works to assert the prerogative of state lawmakers in crafting state insurance policy and inform legislators on issues pertaining to the insurance industry.
