Rep. Thomas Issues Statement on Cobb County E-SPLOST

ATLANTA – State Representative Erica Thomas (D-Austell) today commented on a ballot question on the upcoming March, 21 2017 special election regarding Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for Education (E-SPLOST).

“March 21 is a very important for South Cobb County,” said Rep. Thomas. “The E-SPLOST would make a difference in the lives of thousands of children in district 39. My daughter attends Harmony Leland Elementary, which is the oldest school in Cobb County, and is long overdue for renovations. E-SPLOST would allow for a portion of these funds to provide a new building for these deserving students and many other projects across our county. Let’s do the right thing for our children and vote ‘yes’ on March 21, 2017.”

Representative Erica Thomas represents the citizens of District 39, which includes portions of Cobb County. She was elected into the House of Representatives in 2014, and currently serves on the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Juvenile Justice, Retirement, and Science & Technology committees.
