Rep. Drenner Recognizes Public Service Recognition Week

ATLANTA – State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) today expressed her support of Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW), a week at the beginning of May dedicated to honoring federal, state, county and local government employees.“I’m incredibly thankful for the public service of our state’s government employees,” said Rep. Drenner. “Georgia’s government employees work diligently to ensure that our state runs smoothly and efficiently, and these unsung heroes often go unrecognized for their service to their communities. This week, I am pleased to celebrate our government employees and acknowledge their great contributions to Georgia.”

PSRW has been celebrated the first week of May since 1985 and is annually organized by the Public Employees Roundtable and its member organizations. During PSRW, government leaders and public servants participate by issuing proclamations and hosting special events and award ceremonies.
