Rep. Jeff Jones Presents Shawn Williams with House Resolution

ATLANTA – State Representative Jeff Jones (R-Brunswick) recently presented Shawn Williams, executive director of the Coastal Outreach Soccer (COS) program, with House Resolution 322 during a ceremony at the Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce. This resolution commends and congratulates Williams for being named the Georgia State Soccer Association’s 2016 Administrator of the Year.051817 JJones Resolution

“The COS program has helped hundreds of students in the Brunswick area graduate high school, and Shawn has been a vital part of the COS program since it began,” said Rep. Jones. “Shawn consistently goes the extra mile to ensure that all participants have the opportunities and resources needed to become well-rounded young men and women. His dedication to this program has had a tremendous impact on our community, and I was honored to present Shawn with this resolution for his work.”

COS is a coordinated community effort that provides sport opportunities and educational mentoring services to more than 100 youth each year within the Glynn County school system and underserved coastal communities. COS was established in 2004 as an after-school program and has since evolved into a 12-month program that serves children from low-income households.
