ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the members of the Joint Transparency & Open Access in Government Study Committee:
- Rep. Katie Dempsey – Chair (R-Rome)
- Rep. Heath Clark (R-Warner Robins)
- Rep. Pat Gardner (D-Atlanta)
- Rep. Brett Harrell (R-Snellville)
Pursuant to the resolution establishing the joint committee, the Speaker has also appointed the following citizen-members to the study committee:
- Gary Dent – President, South Georgia Radiology Associates (Vidalia)
- Anu Jain – Manager Partner & Vice President, Think Big (Johns Creek)
- Patrick Mayer – Principal Consultant, TrustPoint Solutions (Alpharetta)
This study committee is created by Senate Resolution 130 and will examine public policy related to the sharing of data between state agencies and the use of information technology to increase transparency with regard to public data in Georgia.
