Rep. Timothy Barr Named Chairman of House Code Revision Committee

ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) recently named State Representative Timothy Barr (R-Lawrenceville) as the Chairman of the House Code Revision Committee.  Rep. Barr will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and on the Health & Human Services, Motor Vehicles and Natural Resources & Environment committees.

“When the Speaker asked me if I would be willing to serve in this capacity, I told him that I would be honored,” said Rep. Barr. “We talked about the details of this committee and its responsibilities repealing law. I’m excited to get to work in this new area of service for my district and all of Georgia, and I am grateful to the Speaker for this opportunity.”

Representative Timothy Barr represents the citizens of District 103, which includes portions of Hall and Gwinnett counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Code Revision Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Health & Human Services, Motor Vehicles and Natural Resources & Environment committees.
