ATLANTA – State Representative Erica Thomas (D-Austell) today released the following statement in response to comments made by President Donald Trump on immigration:
“We have come too far as country to allow the president’s words to set us back. We will not stand for these comments or allow them to divide us. We must treat all immigrants and all people with dignity and respect. I stand with and support the Haitians, Africans and all immigrants that work, live and thrive in District 39 and the entire state of Georgia.”
Representative Erica Thomas represents the citizens of District 39, which includes portions of Cobb County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2014 and currently serves as House Minority Caucus Vice Chairman. She also serves on the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Juvenile Justice, Retirement and Science and Technology committees.
