ATLANTA – State Representative Brenda Lopez (D-Norcross) was recently selected to participate in the 2018 Leadership Georgia program. The program is designed to educate young Georgia professionals on how to best address the challenges facing our state and seeks to bring together various mindsets to encourage unity in Georgia and to strive for a better future.

“I am honored and excited to participate in the Leadership Georgia program and look forward to learning and growing alongside fellow Georgians to improve our state,” said Rep. Lopez. “The opportunity to create unity and encourage diversity in the State of Georgia is significant to me, and I hope to utilize the tools I learn from this program to better serve our great State of Georgia.”

Leadership Georgia selects participants from a pool of over several hundred applicants each year. The Leadership Georgia program prides itself on the diversity of its members and welcomes participants from different occupations, genders, cultures and races. The Leadership Georgia Selections Committee uses robust criteria to create a class that has demonstrated leadership and is representative of our diverse state.
