Keith Williams Named Counsel to the Speaker

ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) announces he has appointed Keith Williams as Counsel in the Speaker’s Office. In this role, Williams will review pending legislation and advise the Speaker on policy issues.

“Keith brings a wealth of experience in the legislative process to this position having served as a member of our House staff under three Rules Committee chairmen,” said Speaker Ralston. “I’m delighted to welcome him to our team, and I thank Rules Chairman John Meadows for recommending him for this important position.”

Williams has served as a Policy Analyst as a member of the House Budget & Research Office staff for the last 13 years. His primary focus was the Rules Committee, but he also handled policy needs for the Ethics, Special Rules and Reapportionment committees.

Williams is a graduate of Oak Brook College of Law in Fresno, Ca. He and his wife, Leah, reside in Smyrna.
