Rep. Brett Harrell Named Chairman of House Ways & Means Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Brett Harrell (R-Snellville) as the Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee.  Rep. Harrell will also serve as a member on the Appropriations (Ex-Officio), Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, MARTOC, Regulated Industries, Rules and Transportation committees.

“Speaker Ralston, Chairman Powell and the Committee on Assignments have given me a tremendous opportunity to continue putting hardworking Georgia taxpayers first,” said Rep. Harrell.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

 Representative Brett Harrell represents citizens of District 106, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and currently serves as Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations (Ex-Officio), Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, MARTOC, Regulated Industries, Rules and Transportation committees.
