Rep. Matt Dollar Named Chairman of House Working Group on Creative Arts & Entertainment

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Matt Dollar (R-Marietta) as the Chairman of the House Working Group on Creative Arts & Entertainment.  Rep. Dollar will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Insurance, Interstate Cooperation and Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment committees.

“Film, music and video game development have become huge industries in this state,” said Rep. Dollar. “The formation of this special committee by Speaker Ralston is a commitment to their importance.  I look forward to working to grow these industries and help ensure that we are preparing a work force ready to meet that growth.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Matt Dollar represents the citizens of District 45, which includes portions of Cobb and Fulton counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2002 and currently serves as Chairman of the House Working Group on Creative Arts & Entertainment. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Insurance, Interstate Cooperation and Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment committees.
