Rep. Donna McLeod Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2019-2020 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Donna McLeod (D-Lawrenceville) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking her first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. McLeod to the Code Revision, Human Relations & Aging, Interstate Cooperation and Science & Technology committees.

“I am committed to learning and contributing to each of the committees I have been assigned,” said Rep. McLeod. “All of our House committees are intended to assist us to better service our district and the state.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

 Representative Donna McLeod represents the citizens of District 105, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Code Revision, Human Relations & Aging, Interstate Cooperation and Science & Technology committees.
