Rep. Mary Frances Williams Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2019-2020 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Mary Frances Williams (D-Marietta) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking her first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Williams to the Governmental Affairs, Natural Resources & Environment and State Properties committees.

“I’m pleased with my committee assignments and look forward to my first committee meetings,” said Rep. Williams.

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

 Representative Mary Frances Williams represents the citizens of District 37, which includes portions of Cobb County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Governmental Affairs, Natural Resources & Environment and State Properties committees.
