ATLANTA – Today House Majority Leader Jerry released the following statement upon the passage of the Homeowners Tax Relief Grant protection legislation by a 117-55 vote:
“Today the House of Representatives delivered on their commitment to fund the Homeowners Tax Relief Grant (HTRG) this year by passing House Bill 143. For the first time since the creation of the program, this legislation puts in place a formula that brings predictability, accountability and transparency to a taxation system that has sorely needed it. I am pleased that we passed this measure to protect Georgia’s homeowners with such strong bi-partisan support.”
