ATLANTA- Representative Amy Carter (D- Valdosta) gained new influential committee assignments last week when new House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) appointed her Secretary of the Higher Education Committee and gave her a position on the newly created Special Committee on Small Business Development and Jobs Creation.
