ATLANTA – Today Representatives Howard Maxwell (R- Dallas) and Mark Butler (R- Carrollton) congratulated their constituents who were recently appointed to the Middle Chattahoochee Regional Water Council. This is one of ten regional water councils created by the Comprehensive Statewide Water Management Plan, which was approved by the General Assembly in 2008. REP. BUTLER INTRODUCES LEGISLATION SAVING TAXPAYERS FROM STATE TAXES ON FEDERAL STIMULUS CHECKS

ATLANTA—Georgia State Representative Mark Butler (R-Carrolton) has co-sponsored legislation that would preclude the Georgia Department of Revenue from assessing state income tax on the expected 2008 federal stimulus package that is expected to pass the Congress in the near term.
